Dear University Family Housing Residents of 35 Charles Street West,

As of 1:30pm, the electrical and water supply has been restored to 35 Charles. It will take some time for our system to recharge and hot water should be available by 2:30pm. Thank you for your patience and understanding as Toronto Hydro made their repairs.

Update 2 – September 14, 2022 11:00am

We have received an update from Toronto Hydro that the repairs being done are taking longer than expected. They have informed us that power will be restored to 35 Charles by 1:30pm today.

Update 1 – September 14, 2022 9:00am

Dear University Family Housing Residents of 35 Charles Street West, 

Please be advised that during the Toronto Hydro power shutdown today, only one elevator at 35 Charles is able to run using our emergency generators. Residents can expect longer than normal elevator wait times during the shutdown time from 8:00am – 12:00pm (approx.).
