Let’s Talk About Childcare Subsidies Workshop

While childcare costs in the GTA can be high, many families are eligible for government subsidies to help offset fees. In this webinar, City of Toronto staff will provide information on the subsidy process, from eligibility, to applying to finding a childcare centre where your subsidy can be used. Join UofT Students with Families Connect: a Facebook group for students and their families to ask questions, share resources and post about upcoming events. During the academic year (September through April), the space will be moderated by Family Care Office peer mentors (though not 24/7!). To join the U of T Students with Families Connect Facebook group, please submit this form. Partners are welcome too!  

UofT Parents Exchange 
This Facebook group is for UofT parents to buy, sell, or donate children’s items. While the Family Care Office can’t guarantee that everyone has a UofT affiliation, the posts are moderated and limited to children’s items. Do you find talking to new people difficult? Do your fears hold you back from making connections? Talking and connecting with new people is a challenge that everyone faces (even for Graduate students). In this workshop, Gradlife will teach you how to make new connections during your graduate programs and you will practice these skills so that you’ll leave with experience and confidence that will help you continue talking to new people

Grad Escape: Paper Snowflakes Social  
Tuesday, December 6, 12:00pm-1:30pm (Grad Room, Refreshments provided) 
Whether you love winter, or just want a study break, the Gradlife Snowflake Social is the event for you! Join fellow Grad students in trying out some crazy snowflake designs that are sure to impress and look great on your window or wall! For the event, all you need are paper and scissors, and a Gradlife Ambassador will run a fun workshop on different snowflake designs you can try out. You will also have plenty of time to hang out with your fellow Grad students and show off your art. Register Here.
