30 Charles Elevator Car 2 Modernization Complete   

We are pleased to announce that the modernization of elevator car 2 (third from the right) at 30 Charles is now complete and fully operational. Car 3 (second elevator from the right) is now offline for modernization. Thank you for your patience as we work to complete this important project. 

Air Conditioner Installation Policy 

All window mounted air conditioners must be installed and removed through the Residence Office at a cost paid for by residents. Please contact the Residence Office to book an appointment – this is required to ensure safe, secure and consistent installation. There are a limited number of weekly appointments available, and these fill up quickly in summer months, so please book your appointment well in advance to ensure your air conditioner is installed or removed by your desired date.  

Currently, the Residence Office is booking appointments for the middle of August; any residents planning on moving out of UFH by the end of August should contact the office to book their AC removal ASAP. 

It is strictly prohibited to install or remove an air conditioner yourself – this is outlined in your lease agreement and is not negotiable. 

UFH is not responsible for the condition of the residents’ air conditioner unit; therefore, it is advised that residents ensure the unit is in good operating condition before the window installation date.

New Laundry Payment System 

We are excited to announce that the laundry rooms have reopened with the new equipment and payment system installed.

This new payment system is shared across both laundry rooms at 30 and 35 Charles Street West meaning residents can use their same laundry card or mobile app at either laundry room.
