Mandatory Fire Drill at 30 and 35 Charles: Please be advised a mandatory Fire Drill will be conducted at both 30 & 35 Charles Street West on October 15th, 2024, starting at approximately 10am. Please join us for a series of workshops exploring various environment and sustainability topics in our community. These sessions will include a mix of learning sessions with external speakers and more hands-on workshops.
Please select which sessions you would like to participate in. These programs are first come, first served. Once the program is full, we will create a waitlist and if any spots open, you will be contacted.
The first session will be held on Sunday, October 29th from 11:00AM to 2:00PM. All sessions after that will happen every Tuesday, from 6:00PM-7:30PM starting Tuesday, November 7th continuing till Tuesday, November 28th.
Week 1: Tree Tour in Toronto – Join our RAs and a community member in a tour around our neighbourhood to learn to identify the surrounding trees, and their significance to our environment!
Week 2: Vegetarian cooking workshop – Participants will be given take home kits of ingredients and then participate in a live cooking class via zoom!
Week 3: Mending Clothing – Learn to mend a rip, darn a sock, and embroider fun patterns to jazz up your existing wardrobe!
Week 4: Soap Making – Participants will work through a soap making workshop and learn about creating household cleaning materials at home!
Week 5: Living Green in Toronto – Explore how to expand methods of living green in Toronto with members of our community! Learn practical resources as well as tips and tricks!
