Career Education & Exploration – Create & Curate Your Personal Website

Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 | 7:00pm – 9:00pm | Recreation Room, 35 Charles St W, 2nd Floor & Virtual

Building and curating your online presence is vital in the current higher education labour market and beyond. Join other UFH residents for a workshop by Career Exploration and Education to learn to communicate your professional identity to prospective employers, recruiters, collaborators, and mentors. By the end of this session, you will be able to identify the key elements of your professional identity (e.g., your research, teaching, and industry expertise) and understand how to best represent them online using a variety of resources and online platforms. Regardless of your career level, this workshop will improve the way you represent yourself and your work online.

We are now excited to offer free professional headshots to the first 15 participants! The headshots will take place on April 6th between 7 – 9 pm in the Residence Life Centre at 35 Charles St W (2nd Floor). Each participant will have two photos taken on a white backdrop and receive one re-touched final photo. Further details regarding the headshots will be given at the event. If you are one of the first 15 to register and you do not attend the workshop (in person or virtual) your spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist for headshots, so please plan accordingly!
