Laundry Rooms
Residents are Eager for Improvements
When asked to rate their satisfaction with the laundry rooms, roughly half of residents said they were “Satisfied” or “Very Satisfied”. The level of satisfaction has decreased slightly from 2022, and UFH recognizes residents’ desire for improvements to be made to the laundry rooms. Currently, UFH is evaluating new laundry machine services that allow for machine upgrades, improved maintenance, and expanded payment options, and is expecting to implement these upgrades in 2024.
Hallways, Stairwells, and Common Spaces
Residents Continue To Be Very Satisfied With Common Areas
Residents continue to be satisfied with the building and outdoor common spaces, rating them as either “Satisfied” or “Very Satisfied”.
Residents Are Satisfied But Want Additional Improvements to Stairwells
Although satisfaction with stairwells has remained high from last year and they appreciated the painting work that has been done, residents still indicated that they would like to see additional improvements made.
To address flooding on some stairwell landings, repairs to the concrete have been made to improve drainage during wet weather. Additionally, UFH is exploring cosmetic changes that can be made to their buildings and stairwells to improve the atmosphere as well as wayfinding.
“Stairwells were painted and they look gorgeous.”
“I use the stairs and the outside landing tends to get flooded when it rains or snows.”
“Some floors are missing the number plate on the stairs.”
Residents Are Eager For The Playground to Be Revitalized
“Please replace the playground soon! The new design seems wonderful and will be a big upgrade.“
“We are waiting for the playground to be renovated. Right now, it doesn’t offer many activities to the kids.”
Many residents indicated that they are eager for the playground revitalization project to begin.
UFH understands that residents are frustrated with delays regarding construction on the new playground. Supply chain issues for the necessary equipment have forced this project to begin in Spring/Summer 2024. Keeping the current playground open and available for residents to use before closing it temporarily for renovations was also factored into this new timeline
Residents Are Happy With Extended Meeting Room Hours
In last year’s survey, UFH asked if residents were interested in converting the Meeting Room into a 24/7 study space. 74% of respondents said “Yes”. In February of 2023, UFH announced that the room’s hours had been adjusted to reflect the desire of the community. Residents have since responded positively to this change.
“Having that additional helped me with my assignments because I couldn´t concentrate at home, thanks!”
“I appreciate the 24/7 hours.”
“I have found it useful to extend the hours.”
