Mental Health & Wellness Resource for Families
Needing and finding mental health support can feel overwhelming, but there are many resources U of T student families can access.
We’ve built a guide to help you understand your family’s options so you can find the support best suited to your needs.
Acceptable Free Store Donations
Our Free Store staff have noticed an increase in donations that cannot be accepted. Donating items is a very environmentally friendly way of giving to others, however, if your items are dirty, broken, damaged or too large they cannot be accepted. For the most part, we accept any good-quality, clean and small items or clothing. Below is a list of some acceptable and unacceptable donations:
ACCEPTED | UNACCEPTED |
Air conditioners (small sizes) Arts & crafts Baby cribs Books (no course readers) Cassettes, CDs & records Chairs (small sizes) Clothing (all types) Jewellery Lamps | Box springs Building materials Car seats Ceiling light fixtures Diapers Encyclopedias Food Rugs, carpets or padding Sofas or couches |
Visit our website for more information on the Free Store and what acceptable donations are.
For more information on how to dispose of items that are not accepted at the Free Store, our website outlines the different garbage and recycling options available.
