Indoor and Small Space Gardening Workshop 

Tuesdays, 7:00-8:15pm, March 14th – March 28th, Virtual  

Join us to learn more about indoor and balcony gardening! Living in downtown Toronto means we don’t always have space to garden outside, but we can still enjoy plants in the indoor spaces we do have. 

Topics include: 

  • Houseplant Habitats: How to select and care for indoor plants in Toronto 
  • Start your own seedlings indoors 
  • Grow your own microgreens 

Supplies (plant cuttings, seeds, etc.) provided! 

Building an Online Presence in Higher Education 

Session 1: UofT Libraries – Measure & Maximize Your Research Impact

Join UofT Libraries for a workshop on measuring and maximizing your research impact. By the end of this workshop, you will have increased the visibility of your research via academic research identifiers, institutional repositories, and academic social networks. Whether you’re a Professor, a Post Doctoral Researcher, or a Student, this workshop is for you! 

Session 2: Career Education & Exploration – Create & Curate Your Personal Website

Building and curating your online presence is vital in the current higher education labour market and beyond. Join us for a workshop by Career Exploration and Education to learn to communicate your professional identity to prospective employers, recruiters, collaborators, and mentors. By the end of this session, you will be able to identify the key elements of your professional identity (e.g., your research, teaching, and industry expertise) and understand how to best represent them online using a variety of resources and online platforms. Regardless of your career level, this workshop will improve the way you represent yourself and your work online. 

Family Care Office: Life Management Series for Students 

LMS: Time and Stress Management: the Tips and Tricks

All of us have 24-hours in a day. How can they be optimized? How do I balance all the things I want or need to do for my studies, my family, and my own well-being? What strategies can I use to mitigate the impact of stress on my studies? How do I avoid or respond to burnout?

March 27, 12 pm – 1 pm – Online 

Balancing family care and school is challenging, but there are strategies and supports that can help. This workshop is a chance to put tips and tricks from March 20th into practice and/or share what you’ve tried and troubleshoot.
