Earth Week at UFH – Register before it’s too late!
Beginning on March 18th and ending on March 23rd during Earth Hour, join us for a week of events and activities focused on our planet and sustainability! There is still some availability in our programming but act quick as spaces are limited!
- March 18th: Houseplant Workshop (Adults)
- March 19th: Family Movie Night – Penguins (Rated – G)
- March 21st: Family Movie Night – Elephant (Rated – G)
- March 22nd: Family Movie Night – Dolphin Reef (Rated – G)
- March 23rd: Kids’ Planet Protector Club (Ages 5-16) + Glow in the Dark Play for Earth Hour! (Ages 0-5)
And don’t forget to tell us what about the Earth you’re grateful for at our lobby booths! We’ll feature your submissions in the Earth Week display in our lobbies!

Toronto Public Librarian Visit at UFH Drop-In Centre
March 22 | 11:30 am – 12:30 pm | Drop-In Centre (3rd floor, 30 Charles)
Nicole, the TPL Librarian from Yorkville Branch, will visit our Drop-in centre with resources and book recommendations for UFH children and families. Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and connect with Nicole to learn about community events and services at TPL and more.
Families of children between 0-5 are all welcomed.
Teaching Taxes Workshop
Friday, March 22, 2024 | 11:00AM – 12:30 PM | Zoom
Join us for a demonstration to learn how to completing a basic tax return. An introduction to a basic income tax and benefit return. What you need to report, how to claim deductions and tax credits, and finding out whether you will get a refund or owe tax.

Sensory Play 2 (Parent and & Child, ages 0 – 3)
Thursday, March 28th, 2:45pm – 4:15pm (one session)
Come join us for some messy sensory play! Here we will discover why messy play is vital for a child’s growth and development and have some fun while doing it! Please wear appropriate clothing this day to get messy or bring extra clothing! This program will be in our Drop-in Centre. Spaces are limited and registration is required.

Family Care Office: Women’s Wellness Series
Take time out of your busy schedule just for you! Enjoy breakfast and a weekly interactive session with on-site childminding provided. The Women’s Wellness series is an opportunity to pause and pay attention to your physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing.
The Women’s Wellness Series is open to all women – trans and cis – and nonbinary people who live in 30 or 35 Charles Street, University Family Housing.
