March 15th, 2023 is UofT’s 196th birthday! Come and celebrate UofT’s birthday with your fellow Charles Street residents! We’ll have plenty of snacks, some special treats, and games where you could win UofT swag!

CRA Demonstration: Income Tax Filing 

March 16, 2023 | 11:00am –12:30pm | Virtual 

This virtual income tax filing demonstration will be followed by a Q&A session during which participants are invited to ask any questions they still have about filing their Canadian income tax returns.

March Break Movie Night  

Wednesday, March 17, 2023 | 7:00pm – 8:45pm | Activity Room (3rd floor of 30 Charles) 

Come join us for a family-friendly movie night! We will be showing the movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. Bring your pillows and stuffies to get cozy. Delicious popcorn will be provided. All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Neighbourhood Resources and Activities for March Break 

This is a friendly reminder that the Drop-In Centre is designed for only children under the age of 5. Unfortunately, for these safety reasons, we cannot accommodate older children during March Break. However, there are a number of free events and activities available in our neighbourhood. Please check them out! 

Earth Hour 2023 

Saturday, March 25, 2023 | 7:30pm – 9:30pm | 3rd floor of 30 Charles 

Celebrate Earth Hour with University Family Housing and do your part to help the environment! 

Activities include: 

  •  A low-power movie night in the Activity Room 
  • An evening for the little ones at the Drop-In Centre 
  • Fun and games in the Meeting Room

Family Care Office Event: Pi Day with UofT Astronomy 

Tuesday, March 14, 2023 | 11:00am – 12:30pm |AB114, 50 St. George Street 

March 14 or 3/14 is Pi Day, named after the famous number approximated as 3.14. This Pi Day, learn how astronomers and space scientists use this special number to learn about the universe and travel through our solar system. Open to U of T students, staff, and faculty with children in grade 2 and up. Accompanied by one adult only please.
