Join our Residence Life Team
A position on the 2022-2023 Residence Advisor team has opened and we’re looking for an eager Charles Street student resident to join the team!
If you are a University Family Housing resident that is a full-time UofT student, you are eligible for this Residence Advisor (RA) position for the 2022-23 year. Library Card Sign-Up
Ongoing | Residence Life Centre, 35 Charles St W, 2nd Floor
Interested in signing up for a free Toronto Public Library card? Forms are always available on the bulletin board outside the Residence Life Centre. Simply return your completed forms to the drop-off folder in the same spot and at the end of each month, our Residence Life team will deliver the forms to the branch, pick up your new cards, and deliver them right to your mailbox!
Spring Rooftop Festival
Save Saturday, June 10th in your calendars, it’s the Spring Rooftop Festival! This is the first large outdoor event of the year and is an amazing opportunity for families to gather, enjoy some refreshments, play games, and socialize in the garden on the 3rd floor of 30 Charles Street West.
To prevent crowding, we ask that residents come during the times noted below for their building:
- 30 Charles – 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- 35 Charles – 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Upcoming Family Care Office Events
Family Pride PA Day
Friday, June 2nd, 2023, 10:00am – 11:30am
Hart House, Family Care Office, QUTE, and Positive Space invite the U of T community and their families to a Pride month celebration of families on June 2nd (a TDSB and TCDSB PA Day). Children (and their adults) will have the opportunity to create artistic representations of their families. Draw or sculpt, create buttons, make a zine and contribute to a banner. Let’s get together to create art that celebrates our families this Pride! Learn more about Family Pride PA Day and register.
Time to Tell Your Story! Family Care Office podcast project
The Family Care Office is looking for students with diverse families & responsibilities to take part in a new project: a podcast series interviewing student caregivers and parents! All recordings will take place this June and podcast episodes will be released over the 2022-23 academic year. Interested students can apply by filling out an online application at uoft.me/FCOpodcast before May 29th. Potential interviewees will be contacted between May 29th and June 2nd for a virtual screening interview. Email family.care@utoronto.ca with any questions.
