35 Charles Generator Replacement: Planned Power Outage: Please be advised that 35 Charles will experience a planned power outage to facilitate work related to the generator replacement project. UFH Summer Family Bus Trips 

Looking for something new and exciting to do this summer? Why not join one of our many summer activities and explore Ontario with your fellow residents! The registration of both trips starts Monday, June 10th, 2024 at 9 am. Please be mindful that a recreation account is needed to register, and the account approval process on our system takes 2-3 days, so creating your account before registration opens is advised. 

Strawberry Picking Field Trip (All Ages) 

  • Saturday, July 6 | 9:00 am to 4:00 pm | Meet outside of 35 CSW 
  • Strawberry farm, here we come! Bring your loved ones to get some fresh strawberries, ride a tractor and see some farm animals at Andrews Scenic Acres in Milton. Admission fee is $15 per person and the children under 5 years old are free-of-charge.  

Water Park Field Trip (All Ages) 

  • Saturday, August 3 | 9:00 am to 5:00 pm | Meet outside of 35 CSW 
  • Grab your towels and your swimsuits. It’s time for some summertime fun at Cedar Park Resort in Bowmanville! Admission fee is $20 per person and children under 2 years old are free-of-charge. 

Please note that each of our family day trips is a one-time event and reserved for only UFH residents. You will receive the information about payment date and details after registration is completed.

Community Gardening at the Rooftop (All Ages) 

  • Wednesday, June 12 | 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm | Rooftop Garden 30 CSW 
  • Help wanted! Enjoy the warmth and share your passion for planting with us. We can help each other to make our rooftop garden filled with colourful flowers. There will also be some art activities for all ages, and light snacks. No registration required. Come join us!   

Walking Trip: Children’s Book Bank (Parent & Child, Ages 0-5) 

  • Friday, June 21 |10am- 12pm | Meet outside of 30 CSW 
  • Let’s go on a walking trip to the Children’s Book Bank! Meet the staff for a reading circle, then go hunting for a book that is yours to keep and to read at home. Let’s explore the community services in our neighbourhood together! Please meet us in front of 30 Charles Street West lobby at 10:00 am. 

Baby Sign (Parent & Child, Ages 0-1) 

  • Thursdays, June 13 & 27, 2024 | 2:45pm – 4:15pm | Drop-in Centre 
  • Enter the path to early communication with your little ones through Baby Sign Language. Learn some basic American Sign Language (ASL) signs and some signed songs to enrich your knowledge when communicating with your babies.
