Toronto Fire Services Inspection at 35 Charles – Rescheduled Date
City of Toronto Fire Services have provided an updated date for will be conducting a complete building inspection, which will include access to ‘random’ apartment units throughout the building. Access for Toronto Fire Services staff will be provided on:
Tuesday, July 25th, 2023
From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm (Approximately)
The Inspection will consist of the following: A physical walk through of the building, including suite access, selected by Toronto Fire Services staff, to confirm operation of ‘in suite’ devices such as smoke alarms, building fire alarm devices in the suite, suite doors and door closing devices.
Please consider this letter a ‘Notice of Entry’ to your unit under the following section of the Fire Code:
Section 19, Subsection (2) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act allows for entry upon any premises by an assistant to the Fire Marshal, for the purposes of carrying out an inspection, at all reasonable hours without an entry warrant.
