Maintenance and Operations Updates
Ice and Snow
Should any residents happen to notice excessive build ups of ice or snow, including large icicles, please bring it to the attention of our property management staff. We are closely monitoring the status of snow and ice in the neighbourhood, but greatly appreciate any observations from residents to keep our community safe during the winter months.
Submit Maintenance Requests on Concierge Plus
As a reminder, Concierge Plus is the online portal for submitting requests for maintenance and repairs. To log in, type in your email address and the password “samuel”, then go to the “Service Request” page. Please allow the property manager a reasonable amount of time to assess the request, prioritize, and address the problem. If you require assistance using Concierge Plus, please contact the Faculty Housing office on facultyadmissions.ufh@utoronto.ca
For emergency maintenance and repairs, such as:
- Floods (other than those a resident can stop)
- Loss of electrical power
- Loss of heat
- Loss of hot water

Keep Vestibules and Common Areas Clear
As always, please keep your vestibules and common hallways free of clutter and household items as it is both important and a legal requirement that egress is maintained, especially when more than one tenant shares the space. A means of egress is an unobstructed path to leave buildings, structures, and spaces and is comprised of exit access, exit, and exit discharge. If you have large seasonal items that you would like stored, kindly contact our Property Management staff for further information.
U of T Campus Safety App
U of T Campus Safety have developed a free app that is available for download on the App Store, or Google Play. Some key features of the app include:
- Live chat with Campus Safety
- TravelSafer: Request an officer to escort them to and from any location on University property, including nearby TTC stations. This feature also allows users to request Campus Safety to monitor their route while travelling.
- Mobile Bluelight: Sends app user’s on-campus location to Campus Safety in case of a crisis.
- Additional features include FriendWalk and Support Services, which assist users anywhere in the world.
