Pink Shirt Day at the Drop-In Centre

Wednesday, February 28th, 9:30am to 12:30pm

Pink Shirt Day is for people of all ages take a stand against bullying. It started as a collective act of kindness in 2007 when two Nova Scotia high school students saw a grade 9 boy being bullied for wearing pink. They then organized a “pink protest”, encouraging fellow students to wear pink in solidarity.

On February 28th, wear something pink and come join us at the Drop-In to recognize the importance of unity, inclusivity, and diversity of all people. Our positive play space will be filled with a variety of activities that will allow your children to practice sharing and caring for others. Books about friendship, empathy and kindness will be highlighted.

No registration required, reserved for children ages 0-5 years old.

Beat the cold and come out to join your neighbours and friends for a game of Ping Pong! Youth between the age of 12 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult during their participation.
