Maintenance and Operations Updates
30 Charles – Elevator Outages
Operations staff would like to acknowledge recent elevator outages at 30 Charles Street West, and apologize for the inconvenience to the residents of the building.
Service response times from our provider have been slow and Operations staff are working with the provider to ensure quicker response times, especially outside of business hours.
It is important to note that the majority of the elevator outages have been linked to car overcrowding and car door sensor damage. We ask that residents do not overcrowd elevator cars, especially when other cars are already offline, as this will cause further breakdowns of the equipment. Moreover, residents must not use bicycles, strollers and other objects to stop closing elevator car doors. This will cause the doors to jam and leave the car inoperable.
