Over the next few weeks, work on the interior of ground floor retail units will finish, while work on the exterior of the building continues.

Cement board cladding is 85% complete on the exterior and will continue on the Balmuto and Yonge St. elevations for a few days starting the week of May 9^th. This work will be intermittently noisy as anchors are drilled into the structure. Noisy work will only occur between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, while nondisruptive construction takes place in the normal business hours.

The exterior tile work has begun in the plaza area on the west side of the building. Starting May 9^th, the workers will flip to the Yonge St. side and will move in a counter clockwise rotation around the building. The tiling is expected to take 8 weeks to complete and will be quiet work. 

In the coming weeks following the tile work, installation of the fibre reinforced panels will begin. These panels will require mechanical fastening to secure them to the structure and will have period periods of noise as part of this process. Again, this work will take place between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm.

To reach the upper sections of the work area, an elevated work platform will be used. Work areas will be temporarily barricaded as the workers move through, but normal pedestrian traffic around the building will not be impeded. 

The exterior work is planned to continue until the middle of July. Further update will be provided as the work progresses.
