November Unit Renovations at Charles Street 

For the month of November, the following floors will have units under renovation. Residents may hear noisy work from 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Saturday.

Playground and Road Closure for Upcoming Construction 

Please be advised the Community playground at 35 Charles Street West will be closed from November 4th to November 27th to facilitate shoring and excavation work related to the 35 Charles Generator Replacement project.  

From November 6th to November 15th the southern street entrance to La Scala will also be blocked to vehicle traffic to facilitate construction work. Please enter La Scala Lane from the Northern entrance on Charles Street to access the parking garage. Pedestrian pathways will be maintained. 

The scope of work will include excavation and shoring work in the exhaust shaft near La Scala Lane and in the parking garage. There will be machinery, and crews present in these spaces. 

Building residents may experience construction noise during this three-week period. Residents on the south side of 35 Charles may wish to close their windows and blinds while this work is being conducted. Pedestrian pathways along La Scala Lane will be maintained, however, residents should be mindful of equipment use, and work nearby, while passing through these areas. 

The meeting room at 30 Charles Street West has been designated as a quiet study space which can be used by residents throughout the duration of this project.
