Maintenance and Operations Updates

Playground Toys Removal

Please be advised that no toys, bikes, scooters, etc. brought to the community playground by residents, should remain in the playground overnight. It has been observed that some of these items are left behind for days, and their condition is not always safe for children using the space. If you currently have any items in the playground area that you wish to keep, please ensure they are removed by October 16th, 2024, at 9:00am. Any items found left unattended, at that point, will be removed and disposed. Moving forward, any items found left unattended overnight will be disposed of without notice.

We encourage residents to continue to bring their children and toys to the playground space but ask that all items are taken home with them when they leave. Please do not donate toys to the playground. Any donations should be given to the Free Store at 30 Charles.

Generator Replacement at 35 Charles

Please be advised the building’s Emergency Generator at 35 Charles Street West will be undergoing replacement beginning October 2024.

The scope of work will include excavation and piling work in the exhaust shaft near La Scala Lane and in the parking garage. There will be machinery, and crews present in these spaces throughout the duration of the project.  There will be contractors working in these spaces until the generator is secured in place.

Building residents may experience construction noise during this project. We anticipate loud construction noise to be heard during the first two weeks and final week of the project. Moreover, residents on the south side of 35 Charles may wish to close their windows and blinds while this work is being conducted. Pedestrian and parking garage pathways will be maintained, however, residents should be mindful of equipment use, and work nearby, while passing through these areas.

Moreover, the meeting room at 30 Charles Street West has been designated as a quiet study space which can be used by residents throughout the duration of this project.

Thank you for your co-operation and understanding as we progress through this critical infrastructure repair.
