Fall Nature Walk
October 18 | 10am-12pm | Cedarvale Ravine
Toronto is a city of ravines and Cedarvale is one of the most interesting, In collaboration with Toronto Master Gardener explore the ravine and uncover all its secrets!
- A 2.6 km guided ravine walk
- Limited spots: Register soon!
- TTC ticket provided
- Group meets at 9 am at 35 Charles St W.
- For adults (children, if any must be under parents’ supervision)
- Come prepared: will go rain or shine
Saturday Literacy Program (Bi-weekly, ages 4–8)
Saturdays, October to December | 10:00 AM to 12:00 pm | Drop-In Centre
This program uses the power of play to spark a love for reading, writing, and storytelling in young learners. Through hands-on, engaging activities, children build foundational literacy skills while exploring their creativity and imagination. Activities include dramatic play, puppet shows, shared reading circles, and opportunities to create their own journey.

Family Care Office Student Open House

Spend your PA Day at the Family Care Office on Huron Street on October 10, 2025! Explore our space, library, and resources, and connect with staff, student leaders, and campus partners. Kids will enjoy a Science of Magic session with Let’s Talk Science—fun, hands-on, wizard-inspired activities. Plus, enjoy free food while meeting other U of T families!
Kids & Company Back-Up Child Care
Kids & Company offers back-up child care. The cost for care is $22/day for children six and under; $80/day for children over six (maximum age is 12). Students for whom cost is a barrier are encouraged to email the Family Care Office (family.care@utoronto.ca) as they have a number of free passes available. School-age children can only be accommodated during school closures, such as PA Days. Fill out the online Back-Up Day Booking form or call the centralized call centre at 1-866-MY-KIDCO and reserve a space.
