Maintenance and Operations Updates

35 Charles Building Wide Hot & Cold Water Shut Down

October 29, 2025 | 8:30am – 5:00pm | 35 Charles

Please be advised that hot and cold water will be temporarily shut off to all units and laundry rooms on October 29th, 2025 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM to facilitate multiple plumbing repairs in the mechanical room.

The laundry room will also be closed during this shutdown. Residents are welcome to use the laundry and washroom facilities located on the 3rd floor of 30 Charles St. West.

To avoid flooding when the water is restored, please ensure that all taps are turned off during the shutdown. In past incidents, open taps have caused significant water damage to multiple units. Please note that residents may be held financially responsible for any damage caused by flooding from their unit.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Building Heating System Start Up

Please be advised the central heating system is now on at both 30 and 35 Charles Street West.

Please move items away from your radiator to allow for the warm air to dissipate throughout the living space. If you have any climate control related concerns please submit a work order via the StarRez portal or call the on-call maintenance technician. For more information about our heating systems please visit our website.

30 Charles Hot Water Tank Refurbishment Project

October 21 – October 24 | 30 Charles

Please be advised that the hot water tanks at 30 Charles Street West will undergo a refurbishment process from October 21 to October 24, 2025.

To maintain service continuity, one hot water tank will be refurbished at a time, allowing hot water supply to remain available throughout the work period. However, residents may experience temporary reductions in hot water supply during peak use times on October 21 and October 23.

This work is necessary to ensure the building’s hot water storage and distribution systems continue to operate safely and efficiently.
