Join Us in Celebrating the Year of the Horse

Spaces & Experiences invites you to celebrate the Year of the Horse with a series of Lion Dance performances across campus, honouring the traditions of Spring Festival, Tết, Seollal, and Losar.
This vibrant cultural tradition symbolizes good fortune, joy, and prosperity for the new lunisolar year. Enjoy the powerful drumbeats, the skill of the performers, and the artistry of the lion costume.
Students, staff, faculty, and community members are all invited to join us at any of the below locations to welcome the Year of the Horse together.
Lion Dance Performances – Friday, January 30, 2026
- 9:00 a.m. – Chestnut Residence Lobby & Dining Commons
- 10:30 a.m. – Oak House Residence & Dining Commons
- 12:15 p.m. – New College Dining Commons
- 2:30 p.m. – Medical Sciences Building (MSB), David Naylor Student Commons
- 4:15 p.m. – University Family Housing, 35 Charles Street West, Outside Podium Deck

Drop-In Family Program (Parent and Child, Ages 0-5)
Did you know that our Drop-In Centre is open to all UFH residents, including the Huron-Sussex Community? The Drop-In Centre is located at 30 Charles Street West on the third floor. This is a fun-filled family program for both parents and children. If you would like to have access to our program, please sign up below and our coordinator will be in touch.

The Family Care Office (FCO) provides confidential guidance, resources, referrals, educational programming, and advocacy for the U of T community and their families.
