2026 Lion Dance at UFH!

January 30 | 4:00pm – 5:00pm | 35 Charles Podium Deck

Spaces & Experiences invites you to celebrate the Year of the Horse with a series of Lion Dance performances across campus, honouring the traditions of Spring Festival, Tet, Seollal, and Losar.

This vibrant cultural tradition symbolizes good fortune, joy, and prosperity for the new lunisolar year. Enjoy the powerful drumbeats, the skill of the performers, and the artistry of the lion costume.

The performance will be travelling across the St. George campus and making its final stop here at UFH on Friday, January 30th at 4:00pm on the outdoor podium deck at 35 Charles Street West. Please dress warmly as this is an outdoor event!

All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend. We’ll be serving up fresh popcorn and raffling off some U of T swag items! *Must be in attendance during raffle to obtain prizes!

Choosing the Right Child Car Seat

January 21 | 6:00-7:30 pm | 35 Charles Recreation Room

A presentation by the Ministry of Transportation’s Public Outreach and Education Office covering the dangers of not using seatbelts or child car seats, legal responsibilities and penalties, the stages of child car seats and how to choose the right one and basic installation tips to ensure proper safe setup.

Still Life Drawing

January 27 – February 17 | 6:30-8pm | 35 Charles Recreation Room

Still life is an artistic tradition that involves arranging everyday objects like glasses, fruit,
and flowers in order to practice artistic skills.

In these sessions, we will have a series of short,
medium, and long quiet drawing sessions with different prompts designed to encourage trying a range of creative methods.

All artistic levels are welcome, the sessions are intended to create a relaxing and calm space to explore creatively.
