ReMix: Multimedia Crafts

Session 1 and 2: Clothing Applique
Tuesday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 7 | 6:30-8pm | Recreation Room
Participants do not need to attend both sessions! Learn to customize clothing with fabric applique. A limited number of t-shirts and tote bags will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own item to customize. In both sessions, a tutorial will be provided on how to cut, fuse, and and do a basic stitch to bring your design to life. If children attend, they will require help from a parent/guardian to use scissors, an iron, and sew.
Session 3: Upcycled Fridge Magnet DIY
Tuesday, October 14 | 6:30-8pm | Recreation Room
Turn common household materials into miniature works of art for your fridge. By simply gluing magnets to the back of a recycled base, then collaging, drawing, and gluing on top, we will create fun fridge magnets to keep for yourself or give as gifts. If children attend they will require help from a parent/guardian to work with small pieces and scissors.
Session 4: Collage
Tuesday, October 21 | 6:30-8pm | Recreation Room
Create unique compositions by cutting and pasting pre-existing images. We will provide a blank base and a variety of materials to cut from, with your imagination as the only limit to what you can create. Take the time to relax and be creative in a calm, low-pressure space.
