Maintenance and Operations Updates

Playground Revitalization Project Update

We are pleased to provide residents with an update on the plans to revitalize the community playground. Recently, a contractor has been selected for the project, and it was our hope that the revitalization would be completed in 2023; however, due to supply chain issues related to the equipment supplies, the work has been postponed until Spring/Summer 2024. Keeping the current playground open and available for residents to use before closing it temporarily for renovations was also factored into this new timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this special community project. For more information on the playground revitalization project, you can read our previous update on the project.

30 Charles Toronto Fire Services Inspection

The ‘City of Toronto Fire Services’ will be conducting a complete building inspection of 30 Charles, which will include access to ‘random’ apartment units throughout the building. Access for Toronto Fire Services staff will be provided on Wednesday August 16th, 2023, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm (Approximately)

The inspection will consist of the following: A physical walk through of the building, including suite access, selected by Toronto Fire Services staff, to confirm operation of ‘in suite’ devices such as smoke alarms, building fire alarm devices in the suite, suite doors and door closing devices.

Please consider this a ‘Notice of Entry’ to your unit under the following section of the Fire Code:

Section 19, Subsection (2) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act allows for entry upon any premises by an assistant to the Fire Marshal, for the purposes of carrying out an inspection, at all reasonable hours without an entry warrant.

Your co-operation and understanding are greatly appreciated.
